Servant Leadership....

Was having some great discussion with a mate last night about the role of leadership in new/house/emerging/missional/simple churches, and specifically what we're doing with the Huddle.

There's a whole lot of questions around that I need to unpack first, but more broadly on leadership the question that stuck out to me as I was going on my prayer/thinking walk, is 'What does the servant leadership Jesus modelled look like in this context?'

Our Tom E is a good example of a servant leader - after preaching, you'll often see him washing dishes.

Yeah true that Owl, good call. Its funny, a couple years ago, somebody in my Evaluation and Feedback Group (when I was an intern) mentioned that perhaps my best form of servanthood was chatting to kids, in that that was something not everybody in the church can do well-except chatting to kids never feels like service to me!
