Adam Selwood=Poor form

As a footy player, I reckon his first sledge is not uncommon, and call me crude, but not really that out of the ordinary.

But the second comment was just not on. That's just not what it's all about.

Just realised that not everybody will know the story. In a nutshell, he saw a tattoo of a girl on another player's arm, made a comment about having slept with her the night before (to put it nicely) and then when hearing that it was the other player's 6 year old daughter, called her a sl&*. That's just not on. There's sledging, and then there's wrong.

Where is the innocent until proven guilty Digger? I think he got let of because of lack of evidence, therefore not guilty of using the sl#t word....If he did I agree it is a disgrace and he step so far over the line, but can't be proven now.

He WASNT proven innocent, or because of lack of evidence, both players got off because of "special circumstances" or something along those lines.

Do you think Headland would have reacted the way he did if Selwood hasnt said something out of the ordinary...

a totally different slant, and feel free to put me in my place as a non-competitive sportsperson, but doesn't sledging happen to give someone an edge? to put the other player off his game? If that's the case doesn't the sledger just need to get better at his game so he doesn't need to resort to crude/rude/snide or malicious coments?
